Alec Douglas-Home

[Sir], [Baron Home of the Hirsel], (1903 - 95), Scottish Conservative politician. He became the 14th Earl of Home in 1951, but renounced his title in 1963 so that he could contest the parliamentary seat of Kinross after succeeding Harold Macmillan as British prime minister.
