Mary Pickford

[Gladys Mary Smith], (1893 - 1979), Canadian-born American silent movie star. Mary starred in many successful silent movies including "Hearts Adrift", "Tess of the Storm Country" and "The Poor Little Rich Girl". She was co-founder of the United Artists film studio with Charlie Chaplin and D. W. Griffith in 1919.

(1934 - ), English fashion designer. Her most famous design was the miniskirt, which became an important symbol of the 'swinging sixties' in London.
