Joshua Reynolds

[Sir], (1723 - 92), English painter and writer. He was influenced by his studies of Renaissance and Baroque painting and classical sculpture. In 1768 he became the first president of the Royal Academy of Arts.

George Bernard Shaw

(1856 - 1950), Irish dramatist and critic. He wrote many plays including "Man and Superman" "Major Barbara" and "Pygmalion". In 1925 he was awarded the Nobel prize for literature.
