Abraham Lincoln

(1809 - 65), American statesman. He trained as a lawyer and in 1846 became an Illinois congressman. He became the 16th president of the United States in 1861.

Fred Perry

[Frederick John Perry], (1909 - 95), English tennis and table tennis player. Fred was one of the most successful lawn tennis players of the 1930s, winning every major tournament. He was Wimbledon champion three times - 1934, 1935 and 1936.
